Lokesh Babu's 'Yuva Galam' needs 'strepsils'?
The party, which should have unleashed a massive protest against the arrest of its supremo, is deafeningly silent.

The party, which should have unleashed a massive protest against the arrest of its supremo, is deafeningly silent. The protests at best are muted. But, what is shocking is that the party has decided to postpone the ‘Yuva Galam’ padayatra of Nara Lokesh.
The yatra was to begin soon and Lokesh, who is now in Delhi for over a fortnight, himself announced that he would continue with the yatra. But the party has now issued a statement saying that the yatra’s resumption would take some more time. The reason? The hearing on the Skill Development Case will begin in the Supreme Court on October 3.
Well! This is just a hearing and this is best handled by the lawyers that the TDP has deployed. Why should a yatra in AP be postponed for that? The yatra would have instilled confidence among the party cadres. But, the TDP simply issued a terse press statement saying that the yatra would resume at a later date.
The TDP is in such a disarray that its national general secretary – Nara Lokesh – is in Delhi for over a fortnight. There are no signs of his coming back to AP or even Hyderabad. Many of those involved in TDP-era scams have left the shores of the country and are safely ensconced in foreign lands. TDP ex-ministers and ex-MLAs are either in Hyderabad or in Bengaluru.
As if to show his presence, Lokesh merely tweeted from Delhi on Thursday about atrocities on women. He based his tweet on the latest crime records published by the Central Government. The postponement of the yatra is likely to further demoralize the party cadre, which is already down in the dumps with the arrest of its top leader.
