Lok Sabha Elections: Over 96 Crore Voters To Cast Their Votes!

All eyes are on the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections which will be held in a few months. The elections are getting all the attention to see who will emerge victorious between the ruling and opposition parties. The ruling party is aiming at another term while the opposition aims at spoiling the efforts.

The Election Commission of India is busy with the preparations and making elaborate arrangements for the elections. The election body’s data on the elections has some interesting aspects. Let us have a look at the details.

The data says that there are over 96 crore voters who are eligible to cast their votes. Across the country more than 12 lakh polling booths will be set up for the voters to cast the votes. Talking about the election department personnel who will be involved in the duty, they would be around 1.5 crore.

Out of all the voters, voters who are between the age group of 18-19 are around 1.73 crores.

In the previous elections as much as 67 votes were polled. Now we have to wait and see how much percentage the upcoming elections will record.

Given the intensity around the elections it would not be a wonder if the elections see a record percentage which might be the highest so far.

The BJP wants to achieve the third consecutive win in the elections. On the other hand the Congress is adamant about defeating the BJP. For the same, the party even joined hands with other parties and formed a grand alliance.

Not less than 28 parties are part of the grand alliance named INDIA. Though a few parties gave a shock to the Congress by announcing solo elections, the majority of parties are still in the alliance. We have to wait and see who would get an advantage here.
