Recently, Congress MP Sharma Mohammad created a huge controversy by commenting about the fitness of Rohit Sharma, who is the captain of Indian men’s cricket team. There was a round of negativity on her for complaining about the fitness of the captain and the fact that Rohit won the cup for India aggravated the same.

Now it is the turn of Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit to face targeted criticism as a Congress MLA from Rajasthan has commented on this regard.

Recently, Congress leader Tikaram Jully referred to veteran Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit as a “second-grade actor” whose “prime has gone.” He made these remarks during a Rajasthan Assembly session while criticizing the state government’s expenditure of over ₹100 crore on the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards held in Jaipur.

Jully questioned the benefits of the event for the state, suggesting that it lacked the presence of major Bollywood stars and primarily promoted IIFA rather than Rajasthan.

These comments have sparked controversy and criticism. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari condemned Jully’s remarks, stating that such disrespect towards a celebrated actress like Madhuri Dixit is unacceptable. BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya defended the IIFA event, highlighting its global significance and potential benefits for Rajasthan’s tourism and cultural promotion.

The Congress party has distanced itself from Jully’s statements, emphasizing that his views do not reflect the party’s official stance.

The unnecessary targeting of popular Indian celebrities is only going to be detrimental for Congress, but they appear to be making the same mistake again and again.
