Elections Around The Corner: CM Announces Stipend To Graduates!
Eknath Shinde became the Chief Minister of one of the richest states Maharashtra under a miraculous turn of events
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 July 2024 10:30 AM GMTEknath Shinde became the Chief Minister of one of the richest states Maharashtra under a miraculous turn of events. As a rebel MLA, he supported the BJP with his faction and he was made the Chief Minister. Everyone knows the sensation he had created and how he became the talk of the town.
Eknath Shinde who is known as a close aide to Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray gave a big blow to his son Uddhav Thackeray and became the Chief Minister. Now Eknath Shinde is all set to face a big challenge as the CM.
Maharashtra will go for the Assembly elections and this is the first election he is facing as the CM. With elections around the corner, the CM made a big announcement stipend. The government said that students would get a monthly stipend for one year. As part of the skill training for better opportunities, a stipend would be given.
Graduates will get Rs 10000 per month while 12th-pass students and diploma students will get Rs 6000 and Rs 8000 respectively. The initiative is dubbed as a big decision to help students and graduates in tackling the economic challenges.
While the students would get the stipend every month, the political observers say that the move might work in favour of the Chief Minister in the upcoming elections. There are many instances where the parties won elections with schemes. The same might happen in Maharashtra too.
It is known that the BJP-led alliance faced a massive blow in the recent MP polls in the state. Compared to the 2019 elections the alliance lost over half the number of seats which is very concerning to the party. The BJP-led alliance is in power in the state and despite this, it won just nine seats compared to 2023 in 2019.
It appears that the Chief Minister wants to not repeat the MP election performance and hence announced stipends for students. The scheme is expected to put a big burden on the state.
