The educationalist's comments often get a lot of attention from the people. It is no exaggeration to say that he has a big following on social media.

Days after the new government was formed, Malla Reddy hit the headlines for the wrong reasons as a case was filed against him over the allegations of alleged land grabbing. He is facing allegations of grabbing around 47 acres of land that belongs to the Tribals.

After a case was registered Malla Reddy responded to the issue and said that he had nothing to do with the case and he did not grab any land. Having ruled out the allegations, Malla Reddy said that he does not see any government vendetta behind this.

Adding further, Malla Reddy said that he is not involved in this in any manner. A few middlemen are involved in the sales and purchases of land and they might have grabbed the tribal land. I would approach the Court against this case, Malla Reddy said.

A case was filed against former Minister Malla Reddy with the Shamirpet Police on the allegations of encroaching on the tribal land. 47 Acres of land were grabbed as per a completed filed by a tribal person. A case has been filed under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 3(1)(g) of the SC ST POA Act 2015 against Malla Reddy and a few others.

The accused reportedly grabbed 47 acres and 18 guntas of ST (Lambadi) land in survey numbers 33, 34, and 35 of Kesavaram village.
