It is common for legislators to shift their loyalties from one party to another. We see this often when a party wins the elections. Leaders from other parties take the party’s route. This is not new and we have seen this many times. Irrespective of the state this is the trend.

After the results were announced in Telangana, Bhadrachalam BRS MLA Tellam Venkat Rao created a sensation by meeting TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy and others. With this, the debate was started on whether BRS MLAs are looking at the Congress party.

The same rumours had hit Malla Reddy, the Labour Minister in the BRS government. The debates started when he and two other MLAs skipped the crucial meeting held by IT Minister KTR to discuss the situation and analyze the situation.

As Malla Reddy did not attend the meeting after the loss in the elections the reports started which claimed that the former Minister might take the Congress route and shift his loyalties to the grand old Party.

Amidst these reports, Malla Reddy reportedly urged everyone to not believe such reports and said he is not leaving the BRS and he has no intention of leaving the party.

Chamakura Malla Reddy started his career with the Telugu Desam Party. In the 2014 polls, he contested the Malkajgiri seat and won. He became the only TDP leader to win the MP elections in Telangana after the state bifurcation. Later he joined the BRS in 2016 and contested as the MLA. He was given the portfolios of Labour & Employment, Factories, Skill Development, Women, and Child Welfare.
