The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and its leaders often accuse the Congress party of having a soft nature towards our neighbours Pakistan and China with whom we have been having issues at the border. Adding fuel to this the Congress leaders often make controversial comments.

Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar created a big sensation earlier by saying that Pakistan should be respected as they have atom bombs. The BJP hit back at him and Congress for the pro-Pakistan views. Prime Minister Narendra Modi came down severely on the veteran Congress leader.

Yet again Mani Shankar Aiyar raised many eyeballs with his comments. Talking about the 1962 war which is also called the Sino-Indian War, the Congress leader dubbed it as an alleged invasion of China.

Mani Shankar Aiyar was present at the occasion of Nehru’s First Recruits book launch. At the event, he said that in 1962 China allegedly invaded India. His words created a big row in the political spectrum. The BJP came down severely on him and the national convener of the BJP IT cell Amit Malviya did not like this.

With the comments causing a lot of damage, Congress distanced itself from the comments. Senior leader Jai Ram Ramesh said that the invasion was real and the Congress party distanced itself from the comments he made. Jai Ramesh said that Mani Shankar Aiyar mistakenly made these comments and apologised.

Adding further Jai Ram Ramesh brought the Galwan Clashes into the picture and targeted Narendra Modi without taking his name. He said that when the Chinese incursions took place in May 2020, the ongoing Prime Minister gave a clean chit to China on this.

A big war of words has been going on between BJP and Congress on the stand on Pak for some time. Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Pakistan wants to make Shehzada referring to Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister.
