Shocking: 13 Dead In Bus Fire in AP!

In the recent past, we have been witnessing several Media reports about fatal bus accidents that have been claiming many lives of common public. Now we have another one such incident in this context as a shocking bus fire accident has claimed 13 lives.

According to the latest reports, 13 people have been confirmed dead and 13 others injured after a Harikrishna Travels bus from Telangana collided with a tipper and caught fire near Rayavaram in the Markapuram area of Andhra Pradesh early on Thursday, police said.

The injured were shifted to hospital, while more bodies are yet to be retrieved from the bus, DSP Nagaraju said. The crash took place between 6 am and 6.30 am near the slab quarries on the Rayavaram stretch, according to initial information. The bus was travelling from Nirmal in Telangana to Nellore when the accident occurred.

Police said the tipper hit the private bus as it was taking a bend. Both vehicles caught fire after the collision and were gutted in the blaze. Police and fire services rushed to the spot and began rescue operations. Officials said more than 20 passengers were on board the bus at the time of the crash. Preliminary reports indicated that passengers seated in the rear section could not get out after the impact, while around 10 passengers seated in the front managed to escape.

The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, including a private hospital in Markapuram, for treatment. Officials said the toll could rise as rescue teams continued to search the vehicle.
