The central agencies are putting up a massive showdown of late with sudden raids. Living up to the expectations the IT department had struck gold in a recent operation and the money found in it is dubbed the highest-ever amount in a single instance.

Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand Dhiraj Sahu has been in the news for the wrong reasons due to the ongoing raids. The money seized in the operation is said to be the highest so far in a single operation with the money inching towards a massive 300 crores.

The money seized is increasing with each passing day. When the news of the IT raids broke out it was reported that around Rs 100 crores were seized. The same increased to Rs 200 crores and the money is said to have crossed Rs 290 crores.

The ongoing operation can be dubbed as the biggest operation so far due to various reasons. Multiple teams were part of the raids to conduct searches at various locations in the state and neighboring areas.

Probably for the first time, money-counting machines were deployed by the authorities to count the money. The money seized was so huge that even the money counting machines hung with continuous work say reports.

We have not heard instances of money counting machines getting hanged in the middle of the work. But the recent operation involving the MP is making us go through such instances.

Money counting machines were designed to help count money easily. But they cannot continuously work and count the massive number of cash bundles.

Another interesting aspect is that the MP is representing a constituency in Jharkhand while the family businesses including the liquor are based out in Odisha. The MP is also dubbed as the liquor baron given the massive scale of the business.
