Shocker: What Meta HR Said While Firing 8000 People?

It is already known that Meta has started to fire a significant portion of it workforce starting today May 20. Repercussions are being filled at the human workforce as the company is firing nearly 10% of its global employees in a matter of few hours.

No people have gotten their hands on the telephone conversation between Meta HR team and the fired employees and let’s have a look into the same now.

According to the social media posts, the Meta HR has communicated their outgoing employees that the average intelligence of the people who are at this company is significantly higher than the average set of people that you can get to do tasks if you're working through these contractors.

The Meta wants the AI to learn how "really smart people use computers" by watching employees work. It says the content is "stripped out" and none of it is used for surveillance or performance tracking.

Then the company allegedly admitted the rollout was botched but said Meta intentionally kept employees in the dark because leaking competitive AI strategy would help rivals.

"It is not strategically in your interest for us to communicate everything in all the detail that we normally would on this." It was further added in this conversation.

This piece of exchange between the company and the outgoing employees on the day of firing has started to grab the attention. This is perhaps a reflection of the kind of sizing down operations that mega company could be employing in the near future.
