Salary For 39 Weeks, Health Insurance: Microsoft For Fired Workers!

Despite being one of the biggest technological companies in the world, Microsoft has been constantly firing its employees. The most recent layout of operation came in the form of Microsoft, letting go of as many as 4800 workers in the American soil.

There is a lot of protest happening on the nature of these firing operations. It is now being established that Microsoft is doing something very positive to the employees who had lost their jobs with the company.

Now, Microsoft has announced that eligible employees will be getting up to 39 weeks of paid packages, even after getting laid off. This would essentially mean that they would be getting paid their best salary for a period of nine months, which is a pretty significant severance period.

Along with that, several employees will be entitled to keep the stock options while eligible employees will also be getting privilege of paid health insurance for a period of six months.

This is a very strong decision taken by Microsoft in order to help the laid off employees and could come along way in helping them financially and medically after this layoff process.

It must be noted that Microsoft has recently fired as many as 4800 employees which accounts to Arun 2% of the global workforce. It is being established that the company is looking at more such firing operations in the next few days, as it is largely sizing down their workforce.

Microsoft is clearly aligning with artificial intelligence, and this is a bad news for the human workforce certainly, and it has to be seen how the global human workforce will react to the shift of the company’s alignment.
