By: Tupaki Desk | 1 March 2026 7:37 PM ISTThe situation in the Middle East is deteriorating every hour as Iran has launched a full scale attack against the Arab countries. This has resulted in a petrifying situation with several thousands of Indian nationals stuck at United Arab Emirates airports.
The ongoing Iran and Israel war has created massive travel disruption across the Middle East, leaving thousands of Indians stranded at airports in India and abroad.
As tensions escalated with missile and drone attacks, several countries in the region temporarily closed their airspace. This directly affected major transit hubs such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and other Gulf cities that many Indian passengers use for connecting flights.
Hundreds of international flights were cancelled or diverted at the last minute. In India, airports in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and other major cities witnessed chaos as passengers were informed about sudden cancellations.
Many travelers heading to the United States, Europe and Gulf countries were left waiting inside terminals for hours without clear information.
Reports suggest that thousands of Indians, including students, workers and tourists, are stuck in transit locations or conflict affected areas. A significant number of Indian students studying in Iran are also said to be stranded due to safety concerns and suspended flight operations.
The Indian government has issued advisories asking citizens in the region to remain cautious and stay in touch with Indian embassies. Helplines have been activated to assist stranded passengers. However, uncertainty continues as airlines wait for airspace to reopen and the security situation to improve.
