India’s space agency Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was set up for space research. The agency has been hitting the bull’s eye with the missions. ISRO has a successful lunar mission to its name with Chandrayaan. ISRO landed its rover on the unexplored side of the Moon. Solar mission Aditya-L1 was also launched successfully last year.

Now ISRO is gearing up for another crucial mission. The space agency is gearing up for the first human space flight mission. Four astronauts were picked for the big mission. ISRO announced the names of the astronauts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to share the news and congratulate the astronauts.

Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla were selected for the prestigious mission. They underwent the required training to suit the mission.

Very few nations successfully completed human missions into space. India would join the elite mist with this. As part of the mission, the astronauts would be sent to the Orbit and brought back.

Narendra Modi introduced the astronauts to the whole world who would be a part of the prestigious mission. In a vehicle that belongs to India, they would be taken to orbit and brought back to Earth.

They will be the first batch of astronauts who will be taken to orbit from India. The crew will be taken into the Low Earth Orbit as part of the mission for a few days. As this is the first time India is pulling off such a big mission the astronauts underwent training for the same.

Earlier ISRO landed in an agreement with the Russian space agency for the training. The four selected candidates completed the training and they are ready for the mission. It is a quite prestigious mission for India and ISRO.
