The government of Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu is actively preparing for the same.
However, it is now being established that the cyclone is going to be a pretty significant one, and the people in the state are notified to be more vigilant and aware of the situation.
In this context, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi spoke with chief minister Chandrababu earlier and got exclusive feedback on the rescue operations that are happening on the ground.
Subsequently, Chandra Babu conducted a review from the RTGS Centre in the Secretariat. The Montha cyclone is currently centred 680 km away from Kakinada. It is approaching the coast at a speed of 16 kmph and is expected to make landfall tomorrow.
Due to this impact, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Krishna, Guntur, Bapatla, NTR, Palnadu, and West Godavari districts today and tomorrow, so the CM directed the officials to remain vigilant.
The larger section of the population in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh are notified to be more careful and alert to the situation as things could deteriorate sooner than later.
