India's economic might continues its meteoric rise as the combined wealth of its 100 richest individuals has surpassed a staggering $1 trillion for the very first time, according to the 2024 Forbes India Richest List. This marks a monumental 40% increase from last year's total of $799 billion, reflecting a booming stock market and increased investor participation.

Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, remains the undisputed king of this wealth pyramid. His net worth has soared by $27.5 billion compared to 2023, solidifying his position at the top of the list with a net worth of $119.5 billion. Following closely behind is Gautam Adani, who recorded the highest dollar-term gain this year. Adani, along with his brother Vinod, saw their combined net worth skyrocket to $116 billion, securing the second spot.

This year's list showcases a significant rise in wealth creation across the board. A remarkable 58 individuals witnessed their net worth increase by $1 billion or more. Savitri Jindal and Shiv Nadar occupy the third and fourth positions, respectively, boasting net worths of $43.7 billion and $40.2 billion.
