By: Tupaki Desk | 29 May 2025 3:25 PM ISTAs announced by the President of the United States, Donald Trump himself, tech entrepreneur Elon Musk was one of the most integral members of the Trump campaign in the recent American elections.
Even after Trump won the election , it was Musk who took care of the major majority of the operations and continued to play decisive role in the government.
But the latest news is that Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has decided to leave President Donald Trump’s advisory council. Musk made this decision after Trump announced that the United States would withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement.
The Paris Agreement is a global deal between countries to fight climate change by reducing pollution. Musk had hoped to influence the government to stay in the agreement, but after the withdrawal, he said he had no choice but to step down.
Musk shared his decision on social media. He wrote, “Climate change is real. Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world.” Many people praised Musk for standing up for the environment. Others said it was the right move because staying in the council would go against his values and business goals. Tesla and SpaceX both focus on clean energy and reducing carbon emissions.
By leaving, Musk joins other business leaders who have also left the advisory council for similar reasons. This is a rather unexpected decision from the Tesla chief.
