On the other hand, a few hours before the intense elections an alleged face-off between Andhra and Telangana Police forces happened which was completely unexpected and unasked for. The issue took a political turn with the political expressing their views on it.
The opposition smells a possible conspiracy behind the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam row as they doubt if it was a deliberate attempt to favour KCR for the elections by tickling the Telangana sentiment.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy alleged that what happened at Nagarjuna Sagar might be a ploy by the government. He asked why such a thing happened all of a sudden out of the blue.
Calling the incident a possible ploy Revanth Reddy urged the voters in the state to not fall into the trap and deviate. He also demanded a robe into the issue to know what happened and what’s the reason behind this.
Adding fuel to this Andhra Pradesh Minister for Water Resources Ambati Rambabu announced on social media that for drinking purposes water will be released from the Nagarjuna Sagar Right Canal on the Krishna River. His post created a sensation.
On the other hand, the Election Commission reacted to the issue and urged the parties and leaders to not pass any statements until further notice in the wake of the ongoing elections.
