President Droupadi Murmu Unveils Special NTR Coin!

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao aka SR NTR is a name that needs no introduction. He saw super heights in the film industry and added a big feather to his illustrious cap and ventured into politics. He became the Chief Minister of the combined Andhra Pradesh. This is the legacy he has.

As an honour to the legendary personality, the Indian Government printed a special Rs 100 coin that will have his portrait. Putting an end to the wait, the special coin was unveiled by President Droupadi Murmu. Nandamuri family members, TDP chief Chandrababu, and BJP National President JP Nadda were present on the occasion.

The Honorary President of India Droupadi Murmu addressed the gathering on the special occasion and showered praises on NTR. She started her speech by welcoming the daughters and sons of NTR and gave a special mention about JP Nadda, Nara Chandrababu, and other guests.

"Everyone remembers the late Mr Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao as NTR. I pay respects to him on the special occasion of his centenary birth anniversary. I thank the Indian government for printing the special coin on his birthday. Dr. D. Purandeswari took care of the process of the ceremony with devotion. He took forward the Indian tradition with his films by playing roles from epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata. I was told that, in one film, NTR did the roles of Lord Krishna, Arjuna, and Duryodhana," the President said.

Before that, former Minister Daggubati Purandeswari addressed the gathering and spoke highly about her father. She said that NTR reached unparalleled heights in films and also changed the political landscape.

"He is a hero of generations. It is happy to remember him on the occasion of his centenary birth anniversary. He still has a big following on social media. It was an exciting moment when a special coin was unveiled on the occasion. President Droupadi Murmu reached this position from a humble background. It is very happy that such a person unveiled the special coin," Daggubati Purandeswari said.

Talking about the special coin, it is made of metals like Silver, copper, nickel, and zinc. The coin also has Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Satajayanti' written in both English and Hindi. NTR's image with a big bottu and saffron clothes is quite popular and the same picture was picked.
