But a grandfather made many heads turn with the kind of gift he gave to his grandchild. The grand gift he gave is worth Rs 240 crore. The person who received the gift is just a few months old. The gift made the four-year-old turn a millionaire.
Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy who is one of the richest persons in the country gifted his grandson over Rs 240 crore as he gifted a portion of shares he owns in the Infosys firm.
As per the media reports, Narayana Murthy gifted a 0.04 percent stake which accounts for 15,00,000 shares to his grandchild Ekagrah Rohan Murthy. Due to the gift, Narayana Murthy’s shares in Infosys decreased to 0.36 from 0.40 percent.
Talking about the receiver of the big gift, is Ekagrah, Narayana Murthy’s grandson. He is the son of Rohan Murthy and Aparna Krishnan born in November 2023. He is just a few months old. But he emerged as a millionaire with the gift.
Infosys is the brainchild of Narayana Murthy who co-founded it. Infosys was founded back in the 80s with a small capital. Cut to now it is one of the tech giants in the country that has clients from abroad too.
