Narendra Modi landed in Andhra Pradesh to address a political meeting after a long time. Thanks to the alliance, he addressed the first meeting along with Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. The cadres of the three parties made big arrangements for the meeting. There were a lot of expectations on the meeting.

However many say that the meeting did not meet the expectations and fell short of expectations. As the alliance is eyeing power many felt that Narendra Modi would talk about the offering to states. A few institutions were allocated.

Narendra Modi’s speech started a new debate on whether he missed a golden opportunity to woo the public. The reason behind this is that people are pointing out that Narendra Modi did not mention two crucial aspects and had he mentioned the same in the speech then things would have been different.

Amaravati and Polavaram are two important issues in the state. Farmers and locals in Amaravati have been protesting for the cause for a few years. They completed two Padayatras as well. For the second leg of the yatra they even moved the Court to get the permission.

On the other hand, both TDP and Janasena are supporting Amaravati. Amaravati is the brainchild of the TDP which was proposed in the last term. The AP BJP is also in favour of the proposal. Despite this Narendra Modi did not mention Amaravati in his speech.

The Polavaram project also has a lot of importance as far as the state is concerned. Not just irrigation, the multi-purpose project also aims at providing drinking water and hydropower to a few regions. Once the project gets finished there would not be many issues with the irrigation water.

Given the availability of vast agricultural lands, Polavaram has a lot of importance. Despite this Narendra Modi did not speak a single word.

Many say that this is a major miss by the Prime Minister and the alliance. Had he given assurance on the two aspects, it would have given a big boost. YCP is looking very strong with the kind of welfare it has been doing.

When the target is set on such a strong opponent everything should be right and all the weapons in the arsenal. But Narendra Modi appears to have missed the trick.
