Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is committed to uplift the OBC community. As he belongs to the same community he knows the problems faced by them and he brought many initiatives to benefit the community.
The first initiative is that the annual income for the employees in government jobs is increased to Rs 8 lakh from Rs 6 lakh which benefits many. In the jobs too the reservation was increased by over 10 percent. For Group A and B posts the reservation was increased to 27 percent.
As a shot in the arm efforts, the government is also looking into the issue of reserved jobs for the OBC community.
Even in Skill development, a special focus was given to the community. In a bid to create more opportunities, the OBC community will get a 27 percent reservation in skill development from the Haryana Skill Employment Corporation. The Chief Minister said that the government is focused on safeguarding the interests of the community.
A special focus is also kept on the students to help them with better education. Students will be offered scholarships and skill development programs are also initiated to benefit them. To take the fruits of the schemes and initiatives the union government has identified a few backward areas.
The community will also get financial support as a Rs 13000 crore budget has been allocated. Under the Bhagwan Vishwakarma Yojana, the beneficiaries would be given training and the required assistance would be provided for them.
The current government has been focusing on helping the community and uplifting it. The Chief Minister said that both the Union and state governments provided the benefits to the community.
