The BJP has been maintaining a good hold on the state by winning a good number of seats.

BJP’s strength in the state is one thing here as the party was in power in the last term. Irrespective of power, the BJP has been maintaining a good hold on the state by winning a good number of seats.
Yet again, the BJP proved Karnataka is its strong fortress. The state has 28 MP seats and the NDA is leading in as many as 22 seats, which is quite dominating. The early trends can be dubbed as a positive sign for the BJP and the NDA in the elections.
It is known that Prajwal Revanna, Hasan MP landed in a big controversy due to allegations of sexual harassment. He was even arrested by the SIT and sent to custody in the case.
The political observers predicted that Prajwal Revanna’s case might have an impact and that the NDA might face the heat. But it appears that there is no such sign with the NDA leading in the majority of seats. JDS contested 3 seats while BJP contested 22 seats. It is a good sign for NDA that it is leading in 22 seats already.
BJP wants to come to power in Centre for the third time. The early trends hint that the BJP is very close to reaching the target as it is leading in 270 seats as of now. Karnataka might also contribute to the BJP’s big target. Let us wait and see how many seats the saffron party can win.
In the last elections in 2019, BJP had put up a massive show by winning 25 seats. Now we have to see if it can repeat the 2019 seats or even go close to the number.
