Kalva Bhargav, the mastermind behind this scheme, exploited his human resources background to manipulate the job placement process within the IT sector. By creating counterfeit appointment letters, Bhargav deceived several technology enthusiasts into believing they had secured employment.
Bhargav's deceitful strategy involved purchasing resumes from counseling and training centers, followed by sending out these bogus appointment letters. Prospective employees were then subjected to online interviews, after which they were asked to pay significant sums of money under the guise of securing their positions. This elaborate scam allowed Bhargav to amass thousands of pounds before suspicions arose among the victims, prompting demands for the return of their money.
The situation escalated when the victims began to question the legitimacy of their job offers, leading to the closure of Neogen Soft Tech Solutions. Subsequently, a formal complaint was lodged with the Madhapur Police, resulting in the seizure of £1,000 in cash, five fake appointment letters, two counterfeit ID cards, and two mobile phones from Bhargav. It was revealed that Bhargav was already known to the authorities, with four cases previously registered against him in Lalaguda, Jeedimetla, Madhapur, and Kalvakurti.
The police have since issued a warning to job seekers, advising them to be wary of companies that demand payment in exchange for employment opportunities. They stressed the importance of reporting any such demands, emphasizing the need to protect oneself from falling victim to similar scams. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the lengths to which individuals may go to exploit those seeking employment and highlights the importance of vigilance in the job market.
