What’s Happening? India Must Pay Fine For Nepal Floods?

It is already known that Nepal had faced an extremely detrimental and challenging situation recently, after the case of flooding that shook the entire country. Now something unexpected is happening with regard to the resource generation for the rebuilding of Nepal.

Something extremely unexpected has happened with regard to the Nepal administration as they have started to blame India and China, for what had happened in their country.

The argument that Nepal is making is that the climatic effects of the global warming created by India and China is the reason why they had to face the devastating consequences.

Nepal has named China, the US and India among the major emitters of greenhouse gasses and demanded climate compensation for the Ruswa floods that killed over 1,100 people.

It has approached the UN Loss and Damage Fund and PM Balendra Shah might raise the issue at the UN General Assembly. This could lead to an interesting investigation on this matter, and only time will tell if India and China will be held responsible.

To make it far more interesting, Nepal has demanded climate compensation from India, the US and China after a devastating flash flood triggered by a high-altitude glacial collapse.

Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal says this is not charity but a matter of legal and moral liability. He says India and China must pay the price for their damage to the environment at a foundational level.
