A handful of crucial aspects were discussed and the focus is on the BCCI to see what decisions the cricket governing body would take.
It is said that the meeting saw intense scenes as co-owners of two IPL teams had a heated argument. Reports say both had a different view on player retention which led to the heated arguments.
As reported by Cricbuzz Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Punjab Kings co-owner Ness Wadia indulged in an argument. While SRK was in favour of the retention of the players, Ness Wadia said the retention should be very less. With contrast views the two are said to have broke into an argument.
It is known that Kolkata Knight Riders Co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan is a defending champion. Under the mentorship of Gautam Gambhir, the team crushed SRH comfortably and lifted the title. As the team is high on confidence it looks like SRK wants to stick to the same team and he supported retention.
On the other hand, the Punjab Kings team continued its not-so-good form in the tournament. To create a platform to have a new team the team management is said to have said no to retention.
Media reports say that the IPL teams made a proposal to the BCCI to take action on the foreign players who skip the league after the auction. They said that this impacts the teams largely and action is needed.
