According to the latest reports, it is being established that Netflix has completed one of the biggest layout of operations in its history today.
Reportedly, Netflix will cut roughly 6% of its global workforce, about 1,000 roles, its largest layoff since 2022 as growth slows and user engagement declines.
Co-CEOs Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos said reductions will mainly hit product, engineering, legal and HR teams. This is going to be the biggest firing operation in Netflix history as more than thousand employees are being shown the exit doors by the company.
Netflix had been experiencing inadequate revenues while the production costs have been going up consistently. This is now reflecting in the company starting to fire its employees at an unprecedented level.
It could be a matter of time before other leading companies across the globe, follow a similar strategy in order to combat the prevailing market. It must be kept in mind that Netflix competitor Amazon had also fired employees in the Amazon prime division.
These are going to be extremely challenging times for the working population across the globe as companies have started to fire their employees in thousands almost on a daily basis.
