Giving Your House On Rent? Beware of These Rules!

In this era of trickery and deception, house owners and tenants have been mandated to enter legal agreements in order to avoid further complications in the future. Now let us have a look at the new regulations that I have been set for House owners.

The new rent rules focus on giving better protection to tenants while also creating clear guidelines for landlords. One of the major points highlighted is the limit on security deposits. For residential properties, landlords can now take only two months’ rent as a deposit.

This change is meant to reduce the financial burden on tenants, especially in big cities where deposits used to be extremely high. Another important rule is that rental agreements must be registered online within sixty days. This digital registration creates transparency and helps avoid future disputes between tenants and owners.

The regulations also stress that landlords cannot evict tenants without following proper legal procedures. Any eviction should go through the correct legal channels, ensuring the tenant gets enough time and notice. Rent increases must also follow a structured process.

Landlords have to give written notice, usually ninety days in advance, and they are allowed to revise the rent only after a fixed period, often after one year of tenancy. The rules also mention that owners should give prior notice before entering the property for inspection or repairs. Overall, these changes aim to create a fair and balanced rental system that protects both sides and reduces common conflicts.
