Jejamma To Be Appointed As Telangana BJP Chief?

Reports of Mahabubnagar MP DK Aruna getting appointed as Telangana BJP Chief are creating a big buzz. Currently, she is serving as the National Vice-president of BJP. She contested the recent elections and won as an MP with a slight margin from the Mahbubnagar seat.

Kodangal seat represented by PCC Chief, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy falls under the Mahabubnagar MP segment. It is said that she is seeking the state chief post from the party saying that she faced Revanth and won the seat.

Kishan Reddy who was the state chief so far was inducted into the Central Cabinet. Previous state chief Bandi Sanjay also got the Union Cabinet post. With this earlier it was reported that Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender might get the post. Adding fuel to this he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently.

DK Aruna has the image of a firebrand leader as she many times attacked former CM Kcr, his family, and current CM Revanth Reddy. She has good oratory skills as well.

DK Aruna won as the MLA thrice from the Gadwal seat in Mahabubnagar district. She served as the Minister in the Combined State in YSR’s cabinet. Her followers and supporters fondly call her Jejamma.

It is said that DK Aruna is confident about her image as a firebrand in politics and her Charisma. She is asking for the state chief post as she has the experience of winning as MLA on Samajwadi Party and Congress party tickets.

DK Aruna contested from the Gadwal seat in 1996 as a Congress candidate and lost. As she was denied a Congress ticket, Aruna joined the Samajwadi Party and won as an MLA. She later joined the Congress and won as MLA from the seat in the 2009 and 2014 elections and recorded a hat trick. She contested the elections in 2018 as a Congress candidate. Later she joined the BJP and was appointed as the Vice-president of the party. She won as an MP in the recent elections.

On the other hand, it is said that a few leaders are in the race for the state chief post. Etela Rajender, Medak MP Raghunandan Rao, and Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind are said to be eyeing the post.

It is also said that Kamareddy MLA Venkata Ramana Reddy who emerged as the giant killer by defeating KCR and Revanth is also asking for the post. We have to wait and see how the BJP deals with the situation.
