Rise of the new star strategist in T Congress Party

The Congress Party in Telangana has a latest rising star shining bright. He is advising the party on campaign strategies and the care that should be taken while filing nominations, giving speeches and conducting campaign. Mind you. He is working in addition to the already existing AICC poll strategist Sunil Kanugolu, who is already on the job in the five states going to polls this month.

His name is Kummari Srikanth and he is a psephology expert who graduated in special courses from Delhi. He has come under the radar on Friday, when he gave a detailed presentation to the party ticket aspirants and already declared candidates on how to file papers and how to take care during the campaigning. This was organised as part of the Mission Telangana 2023 of the Congress Party.

Kummari Srikanth is said to be quite close to the Congress high command and has the ears of both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Wadra. In fact, he is known to write their speeches during their public outings. Sources say that he has been active for the last eight months and has been advancing key suggestions on tactics and strategy.

According to insiders, Srikanth has set up a war room in the Gandhi Bhavan. His war room has five wings – expert wing, legal team, social team, training team and research team. These wings churn out talking points, create social media campaigns and offer researched material to the candidates. It remains to be seen how successful the new kid on the bloke would be.
