New York Gunfire: How Many People Dead Now?

It is already know that the United States had been facing multiple cases of gunfire and mass shooting, which has been killing dozen of individuals over the last few years. Now we have something similar happening in New York and it has started to grab the attention.

The incident took place around 3:30 p.m. near West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue, just hours after crowds gathered in Manhattan to celebrate the New York Knicks' NBA championship parade. A fight involving a large group of individuals broke out on Broadway between the two main streets in the locality.

During the altercation, a 26-year-old man was slashed in the neck and subsequently hospitalized in stable condition. Shortly after the slashing, a 17-year-old suspect drew a handgun and opened fire on the group. Witnesses and traffic cameras captured tourists and commuters scrambling for cover as multiple shots rang out.

No bystanders or participants were struck by the bullets, though at least one vehicle's hood was struck by gunfire. A separate, secondary shooting scene was also investigated nearby a which has led to grave panic.

According to NYPD reports and eyewitness accounts, gunfire caused panic with crowds scattering. A suspect was quickly arrested, and a firearm was recovered at the scene but luckily no injuries have been confirmed in initial reports, and the investigation is ongoing.
