Senseless Discussion On Nitish Reddy’s Caste

There is no debating the fact that Andhra Pradesh, political and social fabric almost entirely revolves around caste system. It is understandable that this caste segregation dictates the political scene in the state, it has now reached a new low.

Incidentally, since earlier today, there is an ugly social media trend where people are actively debating about the caste of Indian cricketer, Nitish Kumar Reddy. While the name itself is descriptive enough, there is a theory that is being shared by a section of social media users, which is looking very ugly.

On this matter, one social media user wrote “Maa reddy prends WhatsApp status lo #nitishkumarreddy photo petti reddy ani 🔥🔥 emojis pedtunnaru, papam manodu bc- reddikas ani telisthe disown cheskuntaru emo karna reddy laga.”

Another person wrote “Nitish Kumar Reddy is a Reddiga from Gajuwaka - Malkapuram area not a Reddy they actually are BCs.”

While a few are saying Nitish hails from the Reddy community and that’s why this community is owning him, a few others are calling him a BC with a Reddy surname.

If this caste system and related debates are not ugly enough in the existing political scheme, they have now transpired into athletes and sports as well. The very fact that people have started to discriminate Nitish Kumar Reddy based on his caste equation shows the agonisingly diabolical nature of Telugu social fabric.
