Supreme Court Serves Big Shock To CM Nitish Kumar!

Reservation row has been creating a sensation in the country. We have seen how the Karnataka Government’s decision on implementing reservations in the Private sector led to a big uproar. The industry fumed at this and asked how such decisions can be implemented in the private sector. The issue took a back step as the government kept the decision on hold.

Now a Chief Minister faced a big shock with the Court’s decision on the Reservation. Hearing a petition filed to challenge the orders of the High Court on increasing the quota. Now we have to see what the Chief Minister would do next in this issue.

Earlier the Patna High Court had set aside the bill the Bihar government had brought to increase the reservation cap for SC, ST, and BCs. To challenge this the Bihar government knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court. However, there is no relief to the government.

The bench led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud heard the petition and said no to stay the orders issued by the Patna High Court. While there is a big shock to the Bihar government, the Supreme Court said that it would hear the petitions on the issue in the coming September.

Earlier last year the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government came up with a bill to increase the reservation for SC, ST, and BCs to 65 percent in employment and admissions. The decision led to a big uproar from a few sections and the issue reached the Patna High Court and the bill was canceled.

The government knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court. However, the top court did not stay the orders issued by the High Court giving a big shock to the state government. Now we have to wait and see what the Court will say in the next hearing.
