The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said there was no radiation leak from any nuclear site in Pakistan.
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 May 2025 9:46 PM ISTIt is already known that there have been several reports about the kind of possible radiation leakage that has been happening in Pakistan in recent days. This is mainly due to the strategic and target attack then by the Indian military operation earlier this month.
Well, there have been numerous theories on the topic for the last few days, the latest communication made by the official authorities are presenting a completely different case altogether.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said there was no radiation leak from any nuclear site in Pakistan. This was in response to rumors that Indian missiles hit a nuclear area in Pakistan’s Kirana Hills during a military operation called Operation Sindoor.
IAEA spokesperson Fredrik Dahl confirmed that no radiation was released. Indian Air Force officer Air Marshal A.K. Bharti also said that India did not target any nuclear sites and only carried out a regular military operation.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs also denied the radiation leak story. They said Pakistan did not call any emergency nuclear meeting, as some people had claimed.
Stories about U.S. planes or an Egyptian aircraft bringing chemicals to handle radiation in Pakistan were also false. Retired Indian General Mohan Bhandari said these rumors are not true. He reminded everyone that both India and Pakistan agreed in 1988 not to attack each other’s nuclear sites.
