It has rejected all but one proposal to give tickets to the wards of senior politicians. Several senior politicians were shocked at the bluntness of the top leadership.
For instance, former Maharashtra governor Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao wanted a ticket for his son Vikas Rao. He wanted to contest from Vemulawada. Even former state president Bandi Sanjay rooted for Vikas Rao. However, the national leadership has bluntly rejected the proposal.
Similarly, sitting governor and senior Politician Bandaru Dattatreya has lobbied hard tor Musheerabad seat. She was projected as a future leader through programmes like Alai Bhalai this year. However, the party leadership has given the ticket to Pusa Raju, who is a grassroot level worker in Musheerabad.
Union Minister and T BJP chief Kishan Reddy too reportedly toyed with the idea of promoting his wife Kavya Reddy for Amberpet. However, stern messaging from the Centre has forced him to keep quiet. Similarly, the party has rejected several proposals put forth by outgoing party chief Bandi Sanjay.
