Artificial intelligence is the latest technology which is the current phenomenal. When Chatbot was released it took the world by a big surprise as the chatbot answers the users. This is the positive side of the AI. The negative side of Artificial Intelligence is that deep fake videos are raising several fears.

In India, deepfake vidoes are causing several fears in recent times. The concerns started when the deep fake video of Rashmika Mandanna took the social media like a fire. Another actress also became a victim of the trend.

Not just film stars but even politicians fell prey to this. Recently deep fake video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi went viral. The PM spoke about the issue and stressed the value of having awareness of such trends and urged the experts to do this.

Seeing the seriousness of deep fake videos, the Centre had swung into action and served notices to online platforms like Google, Facebook, YouTube, and others. The Centre said that the platforms were summoned on the deep fake videos and the action that needs to be taken.

Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that online platforms were summoned to warn them about the fake videos. The Minister said that the platforms were warned to take down the videos if not strict action would be taken.

The Minister said that Deepfake vidoes are a severe threat to the people and the internet in the country and strict action should be initiated or else action should be initiated against the platforms.

If the platforms are notified about deep fake videos then the content should be brought down within 36 overs. If not any court can be moved against the platforms and action can be taken against the platforms under the IPC.
