Today marks World Heart Day which is celebrated to remind everyone to take care of their hearts. Every year September 29 is celebrated as the World Heart Day to create awareness on hearts and their functioning. To create awareness of the heart functioning every year a theme is selected. This year the theme is "Use Heart, Know Heart."

This year World Heart Day has a lot of significance as we are hearing a lot of incidents of young people passing away with heart attacks. Recently a Degree student passed away with a heart attack. Earlier, a teenage student sustained a heart attack while playing and passed away.

While the rise in heart attacks is a big concern, this can be stopped by taking some measures. Having a healthy lifestyle is the need of the hour and having a balanced diet can stop heart attacks by a big portion. Having stress is also a reason for this.

Exercise can do wonders for the body and doctors are advising that people should exercise for not less than 40 minutes. Special focus should be kept that leafy vegetables and fruits are taken daily. Red meat consumption should be reduced. Required tests should be done regularly as a safety measure.

Things that should be avoided are smoking, drinking, and other bad habits. Such habits will impact their overall health and they will have to face many health issues.

It is known that many people were affected by the Covid virus and they developed many issues. On top of that, having bad habits is not appreciable. Bad habits should be avoided and a healthy lifestyle should be followed.

These issues among people which were prevalent in the cities have spread to the villages as well which is more concerning. The percentage of people suffering from heart-related issues is growing gradually.
