The situation reached a level where the Government had to start a special operation to catch the animals. However, the operation has not given a fruit outcome so far. People are still being attacked.
Uttar Pradesh is facing the heat of Wolf attacks. So far as many as 10 people have passed away while around 30 people sustained injuries. Seeing this Operation Bhediya was launched and four wolves are said to have been catched. However, the fear is still intact as people are being attacked.
In what could be a shocker another girl is said to have been attacked. As per the media reports a five-year-old girl is the new victim in the issue as she was attacked in the Bahraich district and she was sent to the hospital for treatment.
The concerned District Magistrate spoke about the seriousness of the issue. She said that a new village is being attacked by the wild animals at regular intervals raising many fears and they are working hard to create awareness among the people on the issue.
The Magistrate said that people were warned to not come out of their houses and they were asked to stay inside as a safety measure.
On the other hand famous wolf biologist Vikramsinh Jhala gave his insights into this. As reported by Times Of India the biologist spoke to it and said that looking at the injuries on the bodies it appears that only one wolf might have attacked the victims, not a pack.
He said that the bodies of the children who were attacked are intact and if a pack attacks anyone then the body would be crushed due to the force and with this, it appears that only a specific wolf might have attacked.
