It is already known that the T20 World Cup is going to start on February 7, and the stage is being prepared for the same. As expected, a lot of expectations are being set on the game between India and Pakistan on February 15, which will be one of the main games of the tournament.

However, the latest developments are suggesting that the Pakistan government has instructed the Pakistan cricket team, not to participate in the game against India in the upcoming World Cup.

According to the communication that has been made by the Pakistan government, the Pakistani cricket team has been permitted to take part in the T20 World Cup, but they will not take field against India on February 15.

This is a pretty big announcement from Pakistan as they would not be playing against India, which will be one of the main games of the tournament. So it has to be seen what kind of reciprocal measures that the ICC would be taking against the Pakistani cricket team for backing out at this last minute.

It is already on that Bangladesh was kicked out of the tournament already, and they are going to face the consequences for the same. And now, Pakistan could also be facing the consequences as they’re backing out at the last minute, which will put the Media rights and tickets sales in jeopardy.

This game was originally scheduled to happen on February 15 at the famous Columbus Stadium, but it is not likely to happen now as Pakistan has decided to not play against India.

Pakistan is not expected to win against India. So this decision to leave the game could end up costing the team two points anyway. But it has to be seen what kind of a decision that the ICC would be taking in this regard as Pakistan is not in a position of command.
