UAE hosted the Indian Premier League during Covid fear and it also hosted the T20 World Cup 2021 along with Oman. Now the nation might host another prestigious event.
As per the information that is coming from the media reports Pakistan which was earlier picked as the host of Champions Trophy 2025 might face a big blow as the tournament would be moved out of Pakistan. UAE might host the event or the tournament would be played in a hybrid model.
It is said that India is not ready to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. If India stands firm on the decision to not travel to Pakistan due to security concerns then the tournament would move out of our neighboring nation.
This is not the first time India refused to travel to Pakistan. For the same reason, the 2023 Asia Cup was played in a hybrid model. Pakistan was declared the host. But India saying no to travel to Pak made Sri Lanka the co-host. India played its matches in Sri Lanka.
Now the same is likely to happen for the Champions Trophy 2025 as well. It will either be played in UAE or a hybrid model. Reports say that Pakistan might not host the tournament as India is not ready to travel to Pakistan.
Due to political reasons India and Pakistan have some issues and with this India is not showing any interest in traveling to Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board was hurt with India saying no to come to Pak for the Asia Cup said that it will boycott the 2023 World Cup. But that did not happen and Pak came to India.
