Group one exam is regarded as one of the toughest exams in the country and cracking the exam is not that easy. It takes a lot of hard work and conviction to crack the exam. Sometimes the candidates take a few years to prepare and crack the exam to land in their dream job which is a premier job.

However, an IAS officer surprised one and all by stepping down from the service. The reason for this is said to be the passion for acting. The IAS officer is said to be very much interested in acting and to pursue his passion in acting he took the shocking decision.

Going into details, 2011 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre Abhishek Singh is said to have stepped down from his service. As he submitted his resignation, his higher officers are said to have accepted his resignation and relieved him from the services

Abhishek Singh already showed his acting skills in the critically acclaimed Netflix series "Delhi Crime".The IAS officer was part of a few short films as well. To take up acting as a full-time job, he might have taken the decision.

Hitting the headlines and creating sensation is not new to the IAS officer. Earlier he became the talk of the town after the Election Commission removed him from the election duties. He was given the Gujarat election duty and the IAS officer posted this on social media. This made the election body serious and he was removed from the post.

Leaving government jobs to pursue an acting career is not new and we have seen this with a few Tollywood actors. Legendary actor NTR was a Gazetted officer and he left the job for films. Sankarabharanam fame J. V. Somayajulu was a deputy collector and he left the job for his passion.
