Big Shock To JC Family: Pavan Denied MP Ticket?
Time flew fast and the state is gearing up for another election.
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Jan 2024 6:35 AM GMTSince its inception the Telugu Desam Party has some strong zones which it has been protecting. No matter what the election results are, defeating the TDP in the strong areas is not that easy. Anantapur is surely one of the strong zones. Be it the Parliament elections or Assembly elections, TDP has an edge.
But the status quo was changed in the 2019 elections as the TDP could not withstand the YCP wave. JC brothers could not protect the Tadipatri seat.
Time flew fast and the state is gearing up for another election. The grand old Telugu Desam Party which lost the previous elections cheaply wants to take no risk whatsoever in selecting the candidates.
The party is not shying away from saying no to tickets for the sittings and fielding new faces in wanted. We have seen this with Vijayawada seat. Sitting MP Kesineni Nani was denied a ticket which made him look at other parties. Eventually he joined the YCP and he is the Vijayawada candidate from the party.
Now the opposition party is said to have taken another big decision. A strong leader’s son was denied a ticket. The same was reportedly conveyed to the leader.
As per the information, the JC brothers and their sons met Chandrababu Naidu the other day. The crucial meeting was reportedly held for the MP seat for Pavan, son of JC Diwakar Reddy.
It is said that Pavan is eyeing the Anantapur MP seat. However, the TDP boss is said to have denied this saying that he has other plans for the candidate.
The TDP is in plans reportedly to allot the two MP seats in the region for the BC candidates. The BC population is in significant numbers in the region. Considering the social aspects, the TDP wants to give the seat to the community.
This is a big shock to the JC brothers who have been with the party for a long time. The brothers has a good hold of the region. Despite this, the MP seat was denied.
It is not that the family is not active in the region. Former MLA Prabhakar Reddy's son Ashmit Reddy is the in-charge of the region.
