Enigmatic Pawan Kalyan keeps everyone guessing

What is Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan up to? He has clearly indicated that he is going to pair up with the TDP to unseat YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh. But, the BJP is not part of that alliance. At the same time, he is in alliance with the BJP in Telangana to unseat the BRS government. Interestingly, the TDP has opted out of the fray in Telangana.

Will this mean that he would continue the alliance in Andhra Pradesh too? Will it also mean that he would reconsider his decision to pair up with Chandrababu Naidu? Or will it also imply that the BJP, Jana Sena and the TDP will come together to defeat Jagan Mohan Reddy? As of now, there are no answers to these questions.

More importantly, many TDP leaders and cadres strongly believe that Modi is behind YS Jagan’s move to jail Chandrababu Naidu. These cadres are not ready to vote for the BJP even if Chandrababu Naidu asks them. Given this, is the TDP ready to lose the Jana Sena and fight it alone in AP?

On his part, Pawan Kalyan has not given any clarification about his moves in both the states. He has just returned from the destination wedding of Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi. The Jana Sena would get Kukatpalli and several other key seats in return for supporting the BJP in the state elections.
