MLA Faces Complaint For Dangling Crab Ay Press Meet!

Animals have no voice and as humans, we need to be their voice and fight for them. Things have changed now and people are ready to fight for the animals. Earlier the issue was not seen as an important one. But now this is not the case and animal abuse is not seen as a small issue. As an example of this, the animal activists and organisers moved the courts to stop Jallikattu, a traditional bull event in Tamil Nadu.

Now an MLA landed in big trouble as a complaint has been filed against him alleging animal abuse. The MLA attended a press meet along with a crab and dangled it. This did not go well with an Animal rights body so filed a complaint. This has become big news now.

Maharashtra MLA Rohit Pawar of the Nationalist Congress Party( SP) faction attended a press meet along with a crab. It is said that the issue was taken to the notice of the District Election officer. Not only that, the MLA was also asked to hand over the crab to the veterinary doctors.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is quite active in such issues and won't let any issue go unnoticed. Despite him being an MLA, the body did not take a back step and filed a complaint.

While Peta did what it does normally, people are highlighting one point here. The rules say that the use of animals in campaigns is prohibited and it is banned to use animals for the campaign or other activities.

Earlier, the Election Commission (EC) gave sensational orders saying that the parties and candidates should not use animals or birds for the campaign. But the MLA brought a crab to the campaign and even dangled it. Now we have to wait and see what happens next.
