Ricky Pointing congratulated Virat Kohli on the achievement and said that he took fewer innings than Sachin Tendulkar. Drawing parallels, Ricky Pointing said that we know the potential of Virat as he took fewer innings than taken by Sachin Tendulkar.

"To think that he got 49 ODI hundreds and equalled Sachin and in 175 less innings is unbelievable," he said.

Adding further Ricky Pointing said that Virat Kohli would play even more dangerous in the next matches as he got rid of the burden he had. "I think he has been working extra hard to equal Sachin's record," he said.
