Lady PK Supported YS Jagan: Here’s Why!

Telugu actress Poonam Kaur, who is shortly referred to as PK has a very active presence on social media, and she has now done something interesting. She has come to support YS Jagan regarding the ongoing conflict between YCP and ABN.

Incidentally, Poonam Kaur, known for her earlier work in Telugu cinema, has extended her support to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s followers after a prominent Telugu news channel made objectionable remarks targeting women connected to YSRCP leaders.

The controversy stems from comments made on the channel while criticising Jagan and YSRCP over the ‘Mavigun’ issue. An anchor made derogatory remarks about the wives of YSRCP leaders, prompting the party’s cadre to launch protests at the channel’s main office in Hyderabad and at multiple locations across the state.

Weighing in on the matter, Poonam Kaur took to social media to condemn the remarks. She said the action taken by Jagan’s followers against those who made inappropriate comments about women was entirely justified.

She added that anyone who speaks in a misogynistic manner, insulting women and their relationships, deserves exactly such a lesson. She also reiterated her long held view that today’s news channels have turned into what she called “blackmailing boxes.”

In a follow up post, she reflected on how a similar channel once attacked her viciously, turning her life upside down, and noted that no one had ever expressed remorse or apologised for it.

When a netizen dismissed her posts as a sympathy seeking act, Poonam hit back sharply. She said she hopes the man’s mother and sister live peacefully and never face what she endured.
