Dangerous Food: No Problem In India But Exposed in USA?

There are several complaints about the quality of the food items that are sold in India, and this became blatantly evident when Hyderabad inspection authorities exposed several hotels for poor hygiene.

It appears that even packaged food and processed food is not entirely safe in India as a popular food item that claims to be ready in two minutes is shocking the market now.

This popular food item, which is obviously not named here for marketing reasons has found itself in a deep trouble in the United States for its ingredients.

The warning comes from California's Proposition 65, a 1986 state law requiring businesses to label products containing any of over 900 listed chemicals linked to cancer or reproductive harm, regardless of actual risk level or dosage. It applies only within California, not the rest of the US or globally.

The picture of this food item that is popularly produced in India, but is also sold in the US carrying a health warning in California is raising doubts on whether Indian inspection authorities are actually doing their job. People are questioning why a similar marking is not displayed in India.

For Indian consumers, the real question is whether Indian food safety regulators test packaged foods for such substances or if they’d trust viral screenshots from a foreign law. This is the big question that needs to be answered now.
