Yesterday, Prakash Raj released a video saying that the election commission has removed his voting right in Bengaluru, and this is shocking considering that he had even contested from Bengaluru Parliament seat in the election.

However, the latest fact check that has been committed by the authorities has painted a very different picture of this scenario as the claim made by Prakash Raj was refuted. The Bengaluru Central City Corporation has rejected Prakash Raj's allegation that his name was deleted from the electoral roll during the SIR exercise.

According to officials, Prakash Raj's name remained registered at Serial Number 90, Part Number 1, of the 13 Shanthinagar Assembly Constituency as of June 16, 2026. Officials said that during verification, the officials found that Prakash Raj had permanently shifted from his registered address.

Following a spot inspection, a report was prepared and his voter status was marked as “Shifted” in accordance with Election Commission guidelines. This would essentially mean that Prakash Raj has shifted from this residence to a different place, and that is the reason why his vote was removed by the authorities.

But nevertheless, Prakash Raj is an extremely dynamic person by nature, so we have to patiently wait and see what would be his reaction to this matter.
