Now Prashant Kishor is in the news for the comments he made. He made controversial comments on Andhra Pradesh. Talking about the much-talked-about aspects like creating wealth and welfare he made sharp comments.
He attended a conference held by a firm called Brand Avatar. Addressing the event, he took the example of Andhra Pradesh while talking about welfare and creating opportunities. His comments became the talk of the town now.
“As a society, I think we would be doing great injustice and we wouldn’t be what we are if we deviate from welfarism. What example you quoted is Andhra. That’s like taking it a little bit too far. You can distribute wealth only if you create some. So the state should create an environment so that society creates more wealth. And the state should proactively work to distribute wealth. If you are not helping society to create wealth, where are you going to distribute from? What are you going to distribute? Then you will be borrowing endlessly. Then probably is the case in some states,” Prashant Kishor said.
