In this context, a Pulasa fish weighing 2 kg was sold for a huge amount of ₹22,000 in an auction held at Yanam. This fish is very special and is only available for a short time from July to August every year. Pulasa is not just any fish. It is considered a rare and tasty delicacy, especially in the Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh.
