Over the last couple of months, there have been several cases of Indian individuals meeting fatal consequences in the United States and we sadly have another new development on this note.

In a tragic incident, another Indian expatriate has died of a sudden cardiac arrest in the United States, raising concerns over the health risks faced by NRIs living abroad.

Sanket Joshi, originally from Pune, was residing in Pennsylvania and reportedly experienced severe chest pain late at night following a client dinner. Colleagues immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors attempted CPR and other emergency measures.

Despite their efforts, Joshi did not survive. He is survived by his wife and young daughter, and his family is now arranging to bring his body back to India for the final rites.

Cardiac arrest, a condition in which the heart suddenly stops pumping blood, is often fatal if not treated within minutes. Health experts emphasize the importance of recognizing early warning signs such as chest discomfort, shortness of breath, and dizziness. Quick medical intervention and CPR can make the difference between life and death.

This incident adds to a series of similar cases among Indian professionals in the United States, highlighting the challenges of high-stress work environments, lifestyle pressures, and underlying health issues.

Families of NRIs are increasingly urged to monitor health closely and adopt preventive measures, while authorities call for greater awareness about heart health and emergency response protocols.
